Recently, there has been significant news in the field of hydrogen energy in Europe - the number of members of the H2Med Southwest Hydrogen Corridor Alliance has increased significantly from the initial 9 to 49, covering the entire industry chain of hydrogen energy upstream and downstream enterprises. This alliance of energy companies from regions such as France, Germany, Portugal, and Spain has taken another step forward in promoting the development of the European hydrogen energy market.Trina Green Hydrogen has become an important member of this highly anticipated European energy project with its internationally leading electrolytic cell technology and integrated solution capability for photovoltaic hydrogen storage.
In December 2024, companies from France, Germany, Portugal, and Spain jointly established the H2Med Southwest Hydrogen Corridor Alliance, aiming to promote the rapid development of the European hydrogen energy market.
According to the plan, the H2Med project is expected to cost 2.5 billion euros to connect the hydrogen network of the Iberian Peninsula with the hydrogen networks of France, Germany, and the entire Northwest Europe. Forming a major energy artery in Europe, running through key projects such as green hydrogen production, storage, transmission, and utilization, Europe is expected to obtain economically viable renewable hydrogen energy by 2030. It is estimated that the hydrogen capacity of the two interconnected lines from Portugal to Spain and Spain to France will reach 750000 tons/year and 2 million tons/year, respectively. At present, these development projects have been recognized as European Common Interest Projects (PCI), paving the way for relevant support from EU funding.
Compared with overseas electrolytic cell manufacturers, the gap in hard power between Chinese electrolytic cells is gradually narrowing, and they have a competitive advantage in terms of price.Trina Green Hydrogen has closely laid out its presence in the European market and has launched hydrogen energy projects in Spain, Portugal, and other places. And established a Spanish subsidiary this year, which is the only hydrogen energy company with Chinese genes to join the H2med project.
At present, Trina Hydrogen has made significant breakthroughs in products and technology, with leading performance and certain price advantages. The integrated solution of photovoltaic, energy storage, and hydrogen energy can deeply integrate photovoltaic, energy storage, and hydrogen energy technologies through systematic collaborative design, solving core problems such as the volatility and reliability of renewable energy electricity. At the same time, relying on the resource advantages of Trina Group in the European region, we have closely laid out the European market and currently have complete delivery capabilities.
With the advancement of the H2Med project, green hydrogen energy pipelines will be like new energy arteries running through the European continent. The addition of Trina Green Hydrogen is not only a deep involvement in the project, but also means that China's hydrogen energy technology has gained recognition in the high-end European market.
