Trina Green Hydrogen Wins Shiyin 2025 Green Hydrogen Technology Breakthrough Award

On August 27-28, the 2025 Shiyin Green Hydrogen Industry Conference was held in Wuxi. The conference brought together upstream and downstream enterprises from the hydrogen energy sector, including production, storage, transportation, and utilization. Through intellectual exchanges and resource integration, participants actively explored the iteration of green hydrogen technology, promoted cost reduction and efficiency improvement in all aspects of the industry chain, and facilitated the participation of capital and market entities in building the green hydrogen industry ecosystem. Trina Yuanqing, with its excellent performance in the new generation of alkaline electrolysis water hydrogen production equipment, won the 2025 Green Hydrogen Technology Breakthrough Award.

Against the backdrop of the accelerating global energy transition, green hydrogen, as an important carrier of zero-carbon energy, is becoming the focus of attention in the energy sector. With the continuous support of policies, the increasingly urgent demand for energy transition, and the accelerated technological iteration, the application scenarios of green hydrogen in industries, transportation, energy storage, and other fields are becoming clearer. The participating experts unanimously agreed that reducing electricity consumption and equipment costs in hydrogen production, and improving the quality and safety of hydrogen production equipment, are of utmost importance to promote green hydrogen to truly have market competitiveness.

Alkaline electrolysis cells, with their advantages of low cost and high hydrogen production capacity, are more suitable for large-scale green hydrogen production and are expected to play a significant role in carbon reduction and sequestration in the industrial sector. Trina Yuan Hydrogen, with its second-generation alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment and efficient flexible container hydrogen production system, has won the 2025 Green Hydrogen Technology Breakthrough Award.

The second-generation electrolyzer, through innovative electrode coating technology and optimized diaphragm materials, has achieved a current density increase of over 20% compared to traditional alkaline electrolyzers, while maintaining high safety and stability. Its unit hydrogen production energy consumption under rated conditions tends to be 4.0 kWh/Nm³, which is at the leading level in the industry. At the same time, it has excellent dynamic response capability, allowing flexible operation within a wide load range of 20%-120%. The start-stop speed and time have been significantly optimized, better adapting to the fluctuation and intermittency characteristics of renewable energy generation such as wind power and photovoltaics, providing key support for "green electricity to green hydrogen".

The highly efficient and flexible containerized hydrogen production system adopts a highly modularized and integrated design, greatly simplifying the processes of transportation, installation, operation, and maintenance, and reducing on-site construction costs and time. The built-in intelligent early warning and remote diagnosis system enables real-time monitoring and precise operation and maintenance of equipment status, effectively reducing the operation and maintenance costs throughout the entire life cycle.

In the future, Trina Yuan Hydrogen will continue to tackle technological challenges, further advancing towards lower power consumption, higher efficiency, and greater stability. We will actively collaborate with upstream and downstream partners, energy companies, universities, and research institutions to jointly promote the establishment of standards, innovation in business models, and the implementation of demonstration projects, aiming to build a healthy and sustainable green hydrogen industry ecosystem.
