Trina Green Hydrogen President Duan Shunwei: Green hydrogen energy helps transform energy exports in the Middle East

Date:2025.02.27

On February 25th, the 4th China Northeast Africa Hydrogen Energy Summit and Exhibition CHE2025 was held in Dubai, and Trina Green Hydrogen showcased its second-generation Tianqing series products at the exhibition. President Duan Shunwei was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech to assist in the transformation of energy exports in the Middle East.

As one of the largest and most influential hydrogen energy events in the renewable energy field in the Middle East and North Africa region, CHE2025 covers multiple aspects such as renewable energy, green hydrogen production, hydrogen energy storage, and transmission and distribution. It gathers over 200 speakers from more than 50 countries and regions around the world, including well-known enterprises, government officials, industry experts, and other representatives from various fields, aiming to promote innovation and application of hydrogen energy technology and sustainable development in related fields.
Integrated photohydrogen storage empowers Middle East energy transition HYDROGEN
As an important global energy export destination, the Middle East is currently accelerating its energy transition. As of October 2023, there are 90 low-carbon hydrogen projects in the Middle East and North Africa region, with an investment scale of 54 billion US dollars, ranking fifth in the world. Among them, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman have become the "three pillars" of hydrogen energy development, with plans to achieve a total low-carbon hydrogen production capacity of 6.8 million tons by 2030.

Trina Green Hydrogen President Duan Shunwei delivered a speech at the main forum of the summit, delving into the key role of integrated hydrogen storage technology in the energy transformation of the Middle East. He stated that with abundant solar and wind energy resources and strategic geographical location, the Middle East region has inherent advantages in developing hydrogen energy. By combining photovoltaics, energy storage, and hydrogen energy, a diversified and flexible energy system can be constructed, which can effectively solve the volatility and intermittency of new energy and reduce the Middle East's dependence on a single energy source.
Tianqing second-generation electrolytic cell creates diversified value HYDROGEN
At this summit, Trina Green Hydrogen showcased the second-generation Tianqing series electrolytic cells with technological iterations. By adopting innovative third-generation membranes, new electrode structures, and structural improvement designs, and through intelligent fully automated production lines, the current density has increased by 30% compared to the first generation, the volume has been reduced by 23%, and the weight has been reduced by 18%. It has a hydrogen production capacity with a wide power fluctuation range of 30% -110%, which can better couple with new energy generation. Through unique modular design and framework product structure, the product has higher adaptability and flexibility, can meet the needs of multi scenario applications, support large-scale and rapid deployment, and reduce equipment investment by 30% in comprehensive situations, laying a solid foundation for large-scale green hydrogen production.

With the rapid growth of global hydrogen energy projects, hydrogen energy has become a core force in the global energy transition. The number of global hydrogen projects has increased sevenfold since 2020, and the clean hydrogen supply capacity is expected to reach 48 million tons by 2030. In the future, Trina Green Hydrogen will continue to deepen its layout in the Middle East and accelerate its expansion into global markets. Adhering to the concept of openness, cooperation, and innovation, driven by technology and guided by the market, we work together with all parties to contribute to the realization of global energy transformation and sustainable development.
